Apple Cider Slushies!

Grandma and Grandpa got some delicious apple cider from an orchard last weekend. At the orchard they served apple cider slushies. That got Grandpa thinking...

After digging out the frozen cider cubes, the kids plopped them in the blender.

Let the slurping begin!

Can you really have apple cider without donut holes?
Leo and Marcy think not.

Have a GREAT week!

Blueberry Pancakes at the Airport

We had such a great time at the Blueberry Pancake breakfast at the Plymouth Airport Saturday morning. The breakfast is an annual event, but this is the first time we have ever gone. I have a feeling we will make it a family tradition because the kids thought it was the coolest thing ever!

A picture of the crew before going in

Marcy wouldn't let Aunt Heather put her down

We probably saw a dozen small planes take off and land right before our eyes! It was the coolest thing. You can just imagine that two 3 1/2 year old boys were loving it!

Yummy pancakes!

Have a great week!

Blueberry Festival

We had such a wonderful Labor Day weekend! Every year, our town in inundated with tens of thousands of visitors for the Marshall County Blueberry Festival. It is held in beautiful Centennial Park! Which so happens is right where my office is located, so I get to see all of the vendors mosey in, and then book it out! We love the Blueberry Festival in our house. Especially since we always get to enjoy it with family.

And...the food is amazing!

Leo and Marcy enjoying some corndogs!

You need to get some of these blueberry donuts at the Blueberry Festival! They are so yummy, hot and fresh!

and a Blueberry Shake...a Sickmiller favorite, for sure!

This is the first year we let Leo ride any of the rides. He enjoyed these motorcycles and then a car ride.

Getting securely buckled up by Daddy

He thought he was cool stuff!

We did some other fun things including a blueberry pancake breakfast at the Plymouth Airport and we watched a parade! More posts to come...

We love the zoo!

We had a fantastic time at one of our favorite places on earth last weekend, the Fort Wayne Zoo!

The highlight of the trip was definitely getting to feed the giraffes. It was so cool! Both of the kids got to feed them a huge piece of lettuce. I didn't get a picture of Marcy doing it though, I was busy making sure she didn't poke the giraffe's eyes or something.

 Marcy's first ride!

Leo was also very excited to ride the merry-go-round! We've been watching Mary Poppins at our house a lot lately which has a great merry-go-round scene. Although our horses (or tigers, or elephants) didn't jump off the ride, we had a blast riding anyway. We rode twice.

Grandma giving Marcy crackers to feed the ducks!

Leo and Grandpa, best buddies forever!

Marcy and Grandpa doing laps!

Grooming the goats. The goats are not my favorites.

Yay! Pony rides!
This was Candy, and she was very sweet!

Family Walk

We went for a nice family walk last night. We did have to stop for a snack and a drink halfway through!

Leo had some graham cracker left over so he decided to break it into pieces and leave it for the squirrels.

Hope they enjoy!

He is getting to be a pro!

Gotta love her!

Have a great week!
