Lucky Boy!

Hello!
Leo, Grandma and Grandpa went downtown on S
aturday for one reason and one reason only. To get a balloon hat from the "balloon guy". Well, this particular balloon guy did not make hats. This is the story. Jeremy, Leo and I went to "Family Day at the Park" the Saturday before to get a balloon hat from the balloon guy there. So, we stood in line for about 5 minutes and did not move an inch. So we decided that we would sit down and wait for the band to start. Certainly when the band started the kids would scatter to the stage, right? We enjoyed the band so much that we ended up watching the entire show! So then we went to stand in line again to get Mr. Leo a balloon hat. We were there for another few minutes and we noticed a little girl 3 people in front of us had a sign around her neck that said, "I am the last person in line for today. Hope to see you next time".

We were bummed out. Family Day was a Park Dept. sponsored event and of course I am the office manager at the Park Dept. If anyone's child shou
ld get a balloon hat, mine should, right? Wrong. We did not get one that day. But a balloon creation was in the near future for Leo...

Fast forward to this past weekend. Grandma and Grandpa took Leo downtown to see a different balloon guy. This particular balloon guy did not make hats. So...they got h
im a black and white balloon dog. I think Leo enjoyed the dog even more than he would have a hat.
Way to go G-ma and G-pa!

Here are a couple of pics!

Leo's new toy!

Hello everyone!
We have had a very fun week. Last weekend Leo got an exersaucer and he is loving it! Actually, the lucky boy now has 2 exersaucers because Grandma Sally and Grandpa Doug have one for their house.
He is really getting the hang of grabbing the toys and bouncing around.

Here are a couple of pics.

Just another picture because it's cute!

Have a great week everyone!

Love,
Jenny and Leo

Vaughn's 1st Birthday Party

Last weekend we celebrated Vaughn's 1st Birthday! Vaughn is the son of our great friends, Chad and Julie Schwietert. We all had such a good time watching him run around! He is such a handsome boy! Before we know it, Leo and Vaughn will be shooting par and getting into all sorts of trouble! Naw...not our little angels!

Leo got to hang out with his girlfriend, Lucy Davis. She is an older woman ~ exactly three months older! They love each other. Here is a picture of Lucy and her mom, my great friend Rachell hanging out by the pool at Vaughn's party.

A picture of the Davis family-Rachell, Nate & Lucy along with Leo and Brittley.

The entire day was quite exhausting for Mr. Leo. After playing with his friends he decided it was time to take a nap on his Daddy. Ahhhhh, what a life!

Fourth of July

We had a very nice 4th of July! No sparklers for Leo this year, however. He would put them directly into his mouth! The fireworks going off all over town did not seem to bother him. They didn't bother his best friend Charlie either! Here are a couple pictures of the two best friends.

Kesha, Sherry and Maya came over for a visit on the 4th. We had fun chatting and playing with Leo. Charlie and Maya became fast friends also!
Jimmy also stopped by for a visit.
We will miss him when he has to go back to Georgia!

We then went over to Grandma Sally & Grandpa Doug's house for a 4th of July cookout. Leo had a wonderful time! Grandpa smoked some ribs (delicious as usual) and Grandma made the greatest potato salad ever.... and my favorite...butterscotch pie!

Welcome to Leo's blog!

Hello friends and family!
We thought it would be a good idea to put together a blog for all of our friends and family to keep up with our little one's development and adventures! He may only be 4 months old right now, but he has already had lots of fun and we would love to share with all of you.

Leo had his 4 month check-up this morning. That means shots. Ewww! Anyone that knows me knows how I am with needles ~ not so good. Leo had shots at birth and then at his two month appointment. I happened to have to use the bathroom (very convenient and totally planned) at "shot time" during his two month appointment so Jeremy was with Leo for those shots. This morning I took him by myself and it was just fine. He did a great job and we love our nurses. They double teamed him, it was awesome. He had to get 4 shots, two in each thigh. Each, round, fat, rolley thigh. One of the nurses joked that they shouldn't have a problem finding some fat to stick the needles in. So, the nurses counted 1..2..3 and then stuck him. Poor guy. He really didn't seem to notice the first round. Then again, 1...2...3, poke! He did notice this round. He cried for a couple of minutes, then he was fine. I stayed in the room for about 10 minutes and soothed him. He is much tougher than his mother.
He weighed in at 18 lbs, 6 oz. That is in the 97 percentile for children his age. Yep, he is a big boy. A big, healthy, happy boy!
