DECEMBER ALREADY!

It is the Christmas season! We tried to get our Sickmiller Family Christmas Tree, 2009 last weekend, but it didn't quite work out for us. It had been a lovely weekend, temps in the mid 40's which is decent for after Thanksgiving. So, we bundled up the kids and headed out to Hensler's Nursery to cut down our tree!

The second (and I mean the second) we put the car in park, the rain started. We were so bummed. We decided to give it a shot and see if the rain would pass. It didn't. We kept Marcy out of the rain, but Leo and Jeremy still did some wandering. There are real animals there, like baby cows, horses and bunnies. Leo thought that was really cool!

Marcy did not enjoy meeting Santa for the first time. If I must say so, the Santa was VERY scary at Hensler's!

The day after Thanksgiving we got to ride on the Firetruck right behind Santa during our Downtown Christmas Tree lighting! Leo and Lucy rode together and had a blast! We didn't really get any good pictures, but here you can see me in the pink coat holding Leo! I must admit, I thought it was pretty cool too!

I hope everyone has a wonderful December!

Check back soon!

A Fall Walk

It has been a beautiful fall lately. All of the leaves are changing and we are trying to take advantage of the last nice weather before winter comes.

Leo brought his stuffed puppy along for our walk. He had it on one of Charlie's leashes and didn't let it go the entire time!

Thirsty puppy!

Leo had to point out some bugs along the way

Then he was on pushing duty!

Cutie!

He made sure to jump a lot of the cracks, which as his mother I greatly appreciated.

Have a great day!

What a big boy! He and Jeremy look so much alike, especially after they both got buzzed at the barber!

Dinosaur Feet!

Leo wears these around the house constantly!
They are his dinosaur feet!

This is something I see every single day...Leo with his dinosaur feet and his dinosaur claws. Aren't I lucky?

Have a great week!

Downtown Fun!

We had a great time last Friday night going downtown Plymouth for some live music and simple fun. One of the perks of living in a small town, I guess. Grandpa, Leo, Marcy and I headed out and met up with Lucy and her dad, Nate. The kids are so natural together because they have known each other their entire lives, literally. They also go to "school" together, so they are good buddies.

There was live music, so Leo and Lucy took over the dance floor. It was hilarious, they were just chasing each other around in circles!

Leo was pretty exciting that he got a balloon dinosaur! It slowly shrunk throughout the evening though. It started off with a balloon leash, and ended up being a little nub.

Sometimes it is hard to share...

 Bye, bye leash!

Yes, I know what it looks like.

And finally, the nub. So long, dinosaur balloon friend! Your short time on this earth was filled with a lot of joy.

Time to head home after a fun evening!

Have a great week!
